Background Check Authorization
Authorization for Happy Place to conduct a background check as part of the Craft Host verification program.

This document is issued by PassionFlower Marketing LLC, a Florida limited liability company d/b/a Happy Place Craft Space ("Happy Place," "we," "us," or "our"). It supplements, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Craft Host Agreement.
1. Purpose
Happy Place uses background checks as part of its Craft Host Verification Program to help protect the children and families who participate in marketplace activities.
2. Fair Credit Reporting Act disclosure
This is a disclosure under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act ("FCRA") that Happy Place, or a consumer reporting agency working on our behalf, may obtain a “consumer report” and/or “investigative consumer report” about you for verification and safety purposes.
3. What the report may include
- Identity verification.
- Criminal history at the county, state, and federal level.
- National sex offender registry search.
- Global watchlist and sanctions screening.
- Address history.
- Where applicable to Host operations, motor vehicle records.
4. Your rights under the FCRA
You have the right to request the nature and scope of any investigative report, to receive a copy of the report, and to dispute inaccurate or incomplete information. A summary of your rights under the FCRA will be provided with the consumer report if requested.
5. Authorization
By checking the background-check consent box on the Host application, I authorize Happy Place and its designated screening vendor to obtain and use the reports described above. I understand this authorization remains valid for the duration of my Craft Host relationship and any renewal.
6. Adverse action
If we intend to deny or revoke Host status based in whole or in part on the report, we will follow the FCRA adverse action process, including providing a copy of the report and a summary of your rights before taking final action.
7. No guarantee
Background checks are performed at onboarding, where applicable, and periodically as we may determine. Happy Place does not guarantee the past or future conduct of any Craft Host based on a background check.
8. Governing law
This Authorization is governed by Florida law and federal law where applicable.
