Child Participation Waiver
Waiver, release, and assumption of risk for a child participating in a Happy Place Craft Space activity, event, club, or booking.

This document is issued by PassionFlower Marketing LLC, a Florida limited liability company d/b/a Happy Place Craft Space ("Happy Place," "we," "us," or "our"). It supplements, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Craft Host Agreement.
1. Who signs this waiver
This Waiver must be signed by the parent or legal guardian of each child under 18 who participates in any Happy Place activity, including craft clubs, community events, private parties, Craft Host bookings, and Adventure Box workshops.
2. Acknowledgement of risk
Craft activities are hands-on and involve inherent risks that cannot be eliminated. I understand and acknowledge that these risks include, but are not limited to:
- Cuts, scrapes, splinters, and minor burns from craft tools, glue guns, scissors, wire, beads, and similar materials.
- Allergic reactions to art materials, adhesives, paints, food used in themed activities, plants, animals, dust, or fragrances.
- Slips, trips, and falls in event spaces, playgrounds, gardens, or community venues.
- Illness, including communicable diseases, when children gather in a group setting.
- Interaction with other children, adults, pets, or service animals at the venue.
- Emotional discomfort or overstimulation from group activities.
3. Assumption of risk
I voluntarily assume all risks, known and unknown, associated with my child's participation, whether caused by the negligence of Happy Place, the Craft Host, the venue, or otherwise. Participation is entirely voluntary.
4. Parent or guardian required
A parent or legal guardian (or an adult designated in writing) must remain on-site and responsible for supervising the child throughout the activity, unless a specific program is explicitly labeled as staffed drop-off. Happy Place activities are, by default, not drop-off events.
5. Release of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Florida law, I release, waive, and discharge Happy Place, PassionFlower Marketing LLC, its owners, employees, contractors, Craft Hosts, community partners, and venue hosts (the "Released Parties") from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising from my child's participation, including claims based on negligence.
This release does not apply to gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be waived under applicable law.
6. Medical treatment consent
In an emergency where I cannot be reached, I authorize the Released Parties to seek emergency medical care for my child. I am responsible for all medical costs. See our Medical Release for the full authorization.
7. Photo, video, and marketing
Photography and video may be taken at events. See our Media Release for the specific permissions I am granting or withholding.
8. Indemnification
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claim brought by or on behalf of my child arising from participation, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9. Governing law
This Waiver is governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Venue for any dispute lies exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Volusia County, Florida.
10. Signature
By registering my child for an activity or checking the acknowledgement box at check-in, I confirm that I am the parent or legal guardian, that I have read and understood this Waiver, and that I am signing it freely and voluntarily.
